The JK Harris Mission:

“The JK Harris mission is to create lifetime clients.”

Three short words that represent so much to our team members at JK Harris – creating lifetime clients. What does this mean to us as a company? It means that we want our clients to be so happy with our services, they will return if they need us. We want to earn their tax preparation business year after year. Or, if they have a small business, we want to take care of them in our Small Business Services division. And, of course, the highest compliment our clients can pay us is referring their friends or family to us.

JK Harris recently released its new mission statement to allow our clients, prospective customers, the media, regulators, the public and industry watchers to see where JK Harris and Company’s focus continues to be. That focus is on satisfying our clients and providing them with the best in customer care.

Since 1997, JK Harris and Company has been representing customers from all over the United States with tax problems. Many things have changed over the years we’ve been in business. One thing, however remains the same: the commitment I made to provide affordable tax representation services to taxpayers who need it and to deliver it in a dependable, first-class manner. That is something that will never change.

Our purpose is not to help those who try and cheat the system (see “Setting the record straight” tab on this site). The IRS and most states have resolution plans available for taxpayers who had no intention in getting behind on their taxes, found themselves in a difficult situation because of a major setback in their lives (death in family, divorce, loss of job, etc.). These are the folks we are in business to help – have no doubt about that!

We do this through hiring hard-working individuals who have a natural desire to perform at superior professional standards and who have personality profiles that indicate they want to help people who need assistance. Also, we hire employees who are motivated and excited to advocate on behalf of their clients.

Our purpose is to make clear to our customers the expectations we hold for both us and for them. We want to provide a solid work product backed by first-class customer service. And we want to get the information to the IRS or state taxing authorities in an acceptable timeframe so these organizations can make the very best decision for the taxpayer based on the information we provide.

The assistance we provide them when our Licensed Taxpayer Representatives (Enrolled Agents, CPAs, and Attorneys) negotiate on their behalf directly with the IRS and/or state must be the best in the industry. We will not accept anything less than the best.

We will never recommend doing anything outside of the guidelines set up by the IRS and state agencies. Our purpose is to clarify what those regulations are and what our customers need to do to help us help them.

In the end, our purpose for existing is to help our clients work out their tax problems in the most favorable way possible, following best practices, maintaining ethical standards and believing our clients’ needs are job “Number One” at JK Harris.
